Robotics Hub: Explore the World of Robots
Robotics is where engineering, electronics, programming and imagination come together to create machines that can move, sense and interact with the world. Welcome to the Robo Riots Robotics Hub: a place to explore how robots work, how to get started in robotics and the technology behind spectacular machines.
Robotics for beginners
You do not need to be a professional engineer to start learning about robotics. Modern robotics can begin with simple electronics, programming, motors and sensors, then grow into increasingly sophisticated machines.
How do combat robots work?
Combat robots combine mechanical engineering, electronics, batteries, motors, radio control and carefully designed armour into machines capable of surviving extraordinary forces.

Getting started with robotics
Interested in building robots yourself? Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32 microcontrollers, sensors and motors can all form part of a robotics project. Our Robotics Hub will explore the practical technologies that help turn an idea into a working machine.
Robotics for kids and teenagers
Robotics can be a practical introduction to STEM subjects including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, electronics and programming. Building something that moves is often one of the best ways to understand how these subjects connect in the real world.
From humanoid robots to fighting robots
The world of robotics is enormous. Humanoid robots such as Atlas demonstrate advanced approaches to movement and balance, while industrial robots transform manufacturing. Combat robots solve a very different engineering challenge: how to build a machine that is powerful, reliable and capable of surviving an arena battle.
See real robots in action
Reading about robots is one thing. Seeing spectacular machines move and compete in real life is something else entirely.
Robo Riots brings live robot combat, famous robots and engineering together as a spectacular entertainment experience in Dublin.
